Privacy policy

Airpower Engineering Ltd, trading as Airpower Pneumatics and Custom Solutions (“Airpower”, “we”), Unit 12F, Six Cross Roads Business Park, Waterford, X91 TK28, Ireland, is the data controller for personal data collected through airpower.ie. Registered in Ireland, company number 365388. Questions about your data: sales@airpower.ie or 051 373 937.

1. What we collect, and why

  • Orders and trade accounts — name, company, email, phone, billing and delivery address and what you ordered, so we can process, deliver and invoice your order and handle any warranty claim. Legal basis: performing our contract with you, and our legal obligation to keep tax records.
  • Enquiries — your name, email, phone, message and the product codes you ask about, so we can answer and quote. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, and steps you ask for before a contract.
  • Payments — a payment confirmation from PayPal. We never see or store card numbers. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
  • Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies — pages viewed, device type, approximate location and the site or campaign that brought you, so we can see how the site is used. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see the cookie policy).

2. What we never do

We do not sell personal data, we do not send marketing you have not asked for, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

3. Who processes data for us

  • PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. — card and PayPal payments. Your card details go directly to PayPal and never reach our server; PayPal’s own privacy statement covers the payment.
  • Hostinger — website hosting.
  • Ekco, our IT provider — business email (sales@airpower.ie) and email security.
  • Google Ireland Ltd — Google Analytics 4, only with your consent.

Orders are entered into our own Sage 50 accounts system, kept on our premises. Where a processor transfers data outside the European Economic Area it relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. How long we keep it

  • Order and invoice records: six years, as Revenue requires.
  • Enquiries that do not become an order: up to 24 months.
  • Analytics data: no longer than 14 months.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, or to correct or delete it; you can ask us to restrict or stop processing it, and to give it to you in a portable format. Email sales@airpower.ie and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

6. Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, payments are handled entirely by PayPal, the site is protected by a web application firewall, and access to order data is limited to the staff who need it.
